Safety
Any improvement is made with a goal to make the workplace more efficient, taking safety to the next level.
All drilling teams receive safety training in the following:
- Safe operating procedures (SOPS)
- First aid
- Spill kits
- Personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Risk assessments
- Lockout/tagout
- Material safety data sheets (MSDS)
- Safety meetings
- Fitness for work policy
All equipment is regularly maintained. At present our company has two (2) mine compliant drill rigs that are working in the Central Queensland mining area. Mine compliant rigs have been outfitted with the following:
- Spill kits
- First aid kits
- Remote safety shut-down and isolation switches
- Fire extinguisher
- 2-way radio
- Flags, beepers, flashing lights and striping
- Guards
- All rig lifting equipment and wire ropes are tested and rated
All truck mounted masts have been x-rayed.
